Alamance PARC (Physical Activity & Recreation Challenge) Passport Program is a way for families and friends to come together and explore new recreational activities. Alamance County has a lot to offer from walking trails, to beautiful rivers and lakes, and exciting sports! Join us for the 3rd Annual PARC Passport Program starting May 5th 2012. Our kick off will take place Downtown Burlington at the Active City Streets event from 10am-1pm, look for our booth to get your FREE Passport Booklet.
PARC is a way to relieve stress, increase self-esteem, help lose a few extra pounds, maintain a healthy weight, lower blood pressure, and decrease the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Program participants should use the activity passport to track their recreation.
On behalf of Healthy Alamance and all of the partners who made this program possible, it is our goal that you will increase your physical activity levels as a result of participating in PARC and familiarize yourself with all the local Recreation & Parks Department services has to offer.
